Sadly, these types of winter conditions usually increase car accidents, semi-truck accidents, and motorcycle accidents throughout our state. Even at this moment, we are hearing and seeing an increase in ambulance calls. The Bernalillo County Sheriffs have already reported 6 car crashes. Albuquerque Police Department is reporting a variety of car accidents throughout Albuquerque. The New Mexico State Police have reported a two vehicle fatal crash in Colfax County. Blizzard conditions can result in unseen black ice making it hard to stop or steer, white-out conditions making it hard to see and keep a proper lookout, and cause other drivers to behave erratically if they are scared of the conditions or lack the proper driving methods for driving in the snow.
